چکیده
We provide an overview of the FET-Open Project CerCo (‘Certified Complexity’). Our main achievement is the development of a technique for analysing non-functional properties of programs (time, space) at the source level with little or no loss of accuracy and a small trusted code base. The core component is a C compiler, verified in Matita, that produces an instrumented copy of the source code in addition to generating object code. This instrumentation exposes, and tracks precisely, the actual (non-asymptotic) computational cost of the input program at the source level. Untrusted invariant generators and trusted theorem provers may then be used to compute and certify the parametric execution

CerCo (‘Certified Complexity’) aims to develop tools for reasoning about intensional properties of programs written in high level anguages. If successful, it will be possible to write correct hard real time programs and to formally prove, in a high level way, that rograms meet all deadlines. Further, as many clock cycles as possible can be wrought from the processor by using a cost model hat do...
متن کاملInteractive analysis of large cancer copy number studies with Copy Number Explorer
UNLABELLED Copy number abnormalities (CNAs) such as somatically-acquired chromosomal deletions and duplications drive the development of cancer. As individual tumor genomes can contain tens or even hundreds of large and/or focal CNAs, a major difficulty is differentiating between important, recurrent pathogenic changes and benign changes unrelated to the subject's phenotype. Here we present Cop...
